Airport Arrival Guide

After landing at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), follow signs to Immigration.

Present your passport, visa/ETA, and completed arrival card at immigration counters.

• ✦ ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) should be obtained online before arrival
• ✦ Have your return ticket and hotel booking confirmation ready
• ✦ Visa on arrival is available but pre-approved ETA is faster

Proceed to the baggage claim area and collect your luggage from the designated carousel.

• ✦ Check the screens for your flight's carousel number
• ✦ Use a baggage trolley (free of charge)
• ✦ Report missing luggage immediately at the counter

Pass through customs. Green channel for nothing to declare, Red for items to declare.

• ✦ Duty-free allowance: 1.5L alcohol, 200 cigarettes
• ✦ Declare valuable electronics if asked
• ✦ Prohibited: Drugs, weapons, pornography, religious artifacts

Exchange money at the bank counters in the arrival hall for the best rates.
